SOFA 2 is a component system with many advanced features like hierarchical components, transparent distribution via software connectors or behavior verification.

New release brings several major improvements including:
• Entity deletion and cloning/merging support
• Repository locking support
• Microarchitecture and aspect support at deployment time and in Cushion tool
• Autoconfiguration of runtime environment support
• Improved runtime component support (properties, self-shutting, etc.)
• Full support of versions‘ tags
• Cushion tool completely refactored and made more user-friendly
• General refactoring and bug fixing
