We are pleased to announce yet again a new release of Orchestra. Orchestra 4.4.0 arrives with many interesting functionalities. The main ones are the following :
- Integration with Camel (http://camel.apache.org). The CXF package now contains Camel and it is possible to call or be called by Camel to exit or enter the BPEL process. This opens a wide range a possibilities to Orchestra. Indeed it is now possible to call non WS services directly from your process. If you want to send an email, a JMS message, call a local Java class at one point of the process, all this is now possible. Check out the user documentation for more information.
- Clustering capability. It is now possible to use Orchestra in a cluster mode. This gives load balancing and fail over capacity to Orchestra. Check out the user documentation for intructions on how to configure your cluster.
- Direct call to sub processes. It is now possible to call directly sub processes without going through the WS stack. Orchestra detects automatically if a call is related to an other process, enhancing the performance of this type of call.
As you see Orchestra is moving very fast, providing the only fully Open Source production ready process solution. Don't hesitate to react on those new functionnalities and provide feedback to the Orchestra team using the user mailing list.
As usual, just download the Orchestra installer (orchestra-installer-4.3.0.jnlp) and it will guide you through the configuration of your favorite BPEL Solution.
