The XWiki appliance enables users to quickly download and install XWiki Enterprise for distributed virtual environments. Developed by UShareSoft in conjunction with XWiki, the appliance enables users to take advantage of the business-ready features of XWiki Enterprise, including blog, strong rights management, LDAP authentication, PDF export, full skinning and more. Users can choose to deploy the appliance onto a single node within one virtual machine, or onto a distributed environment as a multi-node vApp for improved availability, security and scalability.

Running on CentOS 5.4, the appliance deploys XWiki Enterprise onto an Apache Tomcat instance and is configured to use a MySQL database instance. The appliance supports both single- and multi-node deployment scenarios.
