JavaService V1.2.12 is planned to be the final release of this utility software from the V1.x code base. Future releases are intended to add new features and bug fixes only to the V2.x code base.

Features from recent releases of JavaService, since V1.2.9 include the following:

* Option to append or overwrite output log files for stdout/stderr
* Internal changes to improve startup and shutdown notifications to Windows
* Optional parameter to specify time to be allowed for service startup
