Since the recent release of JavaService based on the newer Version 2 codebase, user testing and feedback had highlighted minor internal faults not identified in development.
These early faults have been successfully resolved in subsequent minor releases. At V2.0.7 the JavaService software is now viewed as being safe for use in any environment that used the previous V1.x codebase.
The new features of the V2.0 utility software provide improved help facilities, new style html documentation and additional functionality for investigation of service configuration and status using JavaService.
The Version 2 software is also fully backwards-compatible with previous releases, concerning support of command line options and registry configuration values.
