<![CDATA[W2000 / Outlook 2000 / last funambol client 3.0
egroupware server 1.2-106 php 5.2
Any contact in outlook can be assigned to one or more categories. These
categories are separated by a separator: this separator depends on Windows
international setting an can be modified manually from control panel.
In W2000 english release standard assignment is a comma separator, in italian a
";" separator and so on, but anyway it can be modified from system
administrator. Some time users of Palm conduit like "beyond contact" are
requested to use the comma separator, because these conduits don't verify
Windows assignments archivied in the register: so, using a different separator,
can cause error on synking categories.
This almost the same case;
suppose contact Fred is assigned to both "friends" and "customer" and
Tom only to friends
After the sync in egroupware you'll find these categories
- friends, customer
- friends
Fred belong to "friends, customer"
Tom only to "friends"
In other word the comma separator isn'understood, and "more that one categories
assignement" "friends, customer" results as a category itself.
I'don't know if it's depend on my assignement ("," as separator on a italian
windows 2000 so release) or if it's' a simple problem of dialog from yor client
to egroupware server.

It was not fixed. The problem is the same from Vista with
6.58 plug-in and last release egroupware server (1.4.004).]]> |

this was a bug of EGW.
this is FIXED by the new version (trunk version or 1.4beta
of EGW)

this bug is FIXED ! (in last trunk version of EGW) or beta1.4
but the bug was in EGW , the categories are not synced,
because EGW handled this wrong.
otherthing also fixed, sometimes the "saveas"
in contacts
was then diferent if the contacts are synced back from EGW to OL
it was a problem in EGW.
please can you test it again. (with last trunk version of EGW)
